Year of the Tiger
At the funeral for the late King Heinrich, the general mood was celebratory, and as a result the fashions went from moderate color and trim (typically in the Urban Castes) to wild colors and fancy accoutrement (in the Upper Castes ). In general, fashionable clothing is determined primarily by rank and caste.
To official ceremonies however, most men wear the traditional Kilt (see Ioun for additional information), with a crest to represent their family, religion, occupation, guild, or other organization. Occasionally multiple crests are worn, although this is typically frowned upon in the Upper Castes. Most women wear a variation of the Kilt, with low necklines and high amounts of sheer fabric or various silks and furs, depending on the season and the daring of the woman in question.
Furs from certain creatures are often heavily coveted, such as that of the Winter Wolf.
